The team gave me incomplete advice which ended up being the wrong advice. Their customer service was very good, but what is it worth if you're not getting what you paid for? They told me to resign and failed to tell me that I could fight for my employment insurance, even if I was terminated 'for cause' (I ended up being awarded my full EI benefits). They also told me not to pursue a case against my former employer which ended up being the wrong advice, as I was able to settle the matter out of court. I ended up getting a 2nd and 3rd opinion from different lawyers and ultimately pursued my case without resigning. If I had of listened to Phillip and Ashon from Achkar law, I would have achieved nothing. Very disappointed with the quality of advice and I wonder if my case didn't meet certain criteria for them to take interest in it? Regardless, not informing me that I should fight for every opportunity that was available to me feels like a pretty big oversight on their part. I hope your results are better!

I contacted this law firm for help and they had no problem setting up an appointment for a consultation. They took my payment, about 300 for a one hour phone conversation with an assistant (not a lawyer as I was told) and then I never heard back from them. Not a phone call, not an email( aside from the spam emails I get weekly since) I was told that I would hear from them after the weekend. I can’t even tell you I got some useful advice either. I basically got scammed. Never again. I ended up filing with the human rights tribunal for free and at least they got me on track. I reached out for help as I was being discriminated against in my workplace and I feel they took advantage of my situation to make a quick buck.
