As a retired Army officer, I am very familiar with this downtown establishment. Daily fare is simple and limited but the staff are capable of more elaborate and formal meals. The building looks historic from the outside and inside is an absolute gem. Wood panel rooms are beautiful and of rare quality. Though not open to the public, all who have been there by invitation have marvelled at the ornate wood work. The staff are uniformly excellent.

Had a wonderful time helping with Robbie Burns night. Haggis was great, the rest of the food served was pretty basic.
Went there for a wedding. The building itself is spectacular inside and out. You can easily get loss inside and take hours just reading the history. We walked around the block during the events, it is only a 2 minutes walk to the Rideau Canal love lock bridge. Very nice place to host small wedding.
An exclusive private club for serving and retired army officers in the heart of downtown Ottawa. The historic venue is perfect for intimate conferences and gatherings. Lunch is served five days a week, and bar prices are exceedingly reasonable.
