Welcome to the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law - Common Law Section’s new student newspaper: Inter Alia! As of March 2017, Inter Alia will be the Common Law Section’s official student-run newspaper. Students are invited to submit articles on various areas of importance to the legal community. This newspaper emphasizes the importance of free speech and a respectful exchange of ideas. Free speech has long been valued and upheld by students, professors, and practitioners of the law. As such, law students must have a medium through which they can examine the law from different perspectives. Such perspectives will include those expressed by your peers, professors, and other professionals in the legal world. Inter Alia hopes to serve as that medium. Students will find a place to further inform themselves, while embracing the opportunity to contribute to the various issues affecting the legal community. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bienvenue à Inter Alia, le nouveau journal étudiant de la faculté de droit, section Common Law. Dès mars 2017, Inter Alia a entrepris le rôle de journal étudiant officiel pour la section Common Law. Les étudiants sont invité(e)s à soumettre des articles sur divers sujets d’importance dans la communauté juridique. Ce journal surligne l’importance de la liberté d’expression, de même qu’un échange respectueux d’idées. Le lien entre la liberté d’expression et le droit a longuement été appuyé et valorisé par les étudiants, professeur(e)s et professionnels du droit. De cela, il résulte que les étudiant(e)s de droit doivent avoir un medium permettant d’examiner le droit en utilisant divers cadres. Ces derniers incluent ceux des pairs, professeur(e)s et autres professionnels du droit. C’est ainsi qu’Inter Alia devient ce medium. Les étudiants auront une meilleure occasion de s’exprimer, tout en apprenant davantage sur les divers enjeux de la communauté juridique.
