we have bad experience with the school. They don't take bullying seriously but rather support it. we we raise the issue they blame on the kid who is being quiet. They also shared information about students to others without asking parents consent.

Our girls joined the Academy in January 2019. As they are both in Kindergarten and being taught entirely in French, their second language capability has immediately and dramatically improved. From day one, they were very warmly welcomed by the entire school. Very quickly, students of all ages knew them by name and helped them feel part of a nurturing community. As well as small class sizes and focused attention, there is a tremendous focus on developing character and confidence. It's a really special place and we're thrilled we made the decision to invest in their education ahead of the pressures of adolescence and high school. We had no idea there was an affordable, fully-bilingual private girls' school in Ottawa. Now we do, we're in no doubt we made a great choice for our girls.
Amazing school, a great big family to raise a happy, smart, confidence girl. The class sizes are small and therefore students get lots of attention from their teachers. Our family loves this school and my husband and I are so happy our daughter is a part of JOA family. Everybody is incredibly nice and friendly, all the girls know each other by name and those from upper grades take care of smaller ones. We joined Joan of Arc Academy on September 2019 and we are very happy with our decision. We would highly recommend this school.
We moved our daughter from our local public school to Joan of Arc Academy for grades 7 and 8 and have been very pleased with the school. The environment is very nurturing and builds confident, resilient young women. The principal and teachers are engaged and supportive and they really come to know your child. We also love that the school provides a bilingual environment with a challenging curriculum – very strong in all areas. The small class sizes allow for a lot of individual attention to the students while fostering relationships with them. The girls plan and participate in a variety of community activities which is also very important. Highly recommend!
The staff at the school are great to work with. In my dealings with administrative staff, teachers, and the principal, they have all been receptive, courteous, and action-oriented. Highly recommended for your daughters.
We switched our twin girls from public school to Joan of Arc Academy in September 2018. We have been impressed with the teachers and support staff as well as the sense of community. Joan of Arc Academy has smaller classes which allows for more hands-on teaching and personal attention for our girls. We would definitely recommend Joan of Arc Academy to parents of girls who are looking for an inclusive, French immersion school.
My daughter started Joan of Arc Academy starting this year Sep 2019, She enjoys school so much and feels proud for herself. Academy have Robotics/Arts/Dance/soccer/running club inside school as well. And "Yes" Parents do have to volunteer to school, so it's like a family. And yes they do very good studies as well with lot of experiments for science teachings. They take kids to multiple field trips as well.
Our daughter has been going to Joan of Arc since September 2019. Our daughter was all but neglected in the public system. She is now thriving, with dedicated teachers who have the time to really teach. It is hard to believe the difference. It is worth every penny.
