Location was good but the ambiance can be updated. I have seen the reviews and reply from manager after confirming my booking through my corporate account, so don’t wanted to change. As I mentioned location was in middle of Downtown and walkable to many local attractions and restaurants. The breakfast provided was good but they almost have same menu every day with very minor changes. Evening snacks on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday are good too. Overall the I have expected much more for the price I have paid during weekdays but the ambiance has to upgraded asap.

Stayed 2 nights with family. Downtown location is great. 1-bdrm suite was perfect, with all amenities. Evening appetizers and breakfast were a welcome addition. Pool, spa & gym were well equipped and in good condition. Parking was pricey (25) but considering the location, it’s to be expected. Wifi was solid.

Hotel is within walking distance of Parliament, Shaw Centre, Rideau Centre (shopping mall), Byward Market and more. Nice selection for the complimentary breakfast. Kitchenette in the room is a little dated, but I prefer that over a renovation resulting in increased rates. Pool is shallow throughout (3 feet) and seemed murky. Gym has cardio machines, free weights, and a weight machine.

So a lot of other people have made comments in various forums, so I will summarize here. This hotel is dated and is in serious need of a rehab. It's not like the place wasn't packed while I was there so cash flow does not appear to be a problem, so where are the rehab plans? Cost is the same as a newer hotel so that jabbed at me a bit. Nice location and within walking distance to the canal, attractions, and food. Front desk staff were nice. Breakfast buffet was chaos, but decent food.

Location was great, the price was average, but it was dated. We slept well, bed was comfortable, and the building was quiet. Didn't stay for the continental breakfast as it was a nuthouse when we arrived. Parking was expensive, but convenient as you could come and go as you pleased. We would stay here again.

Building is a bit outdated and parking is too tight to maneuver. Water system is not efficient and eco friendly (eg. Flush and shower uses too much water). Had a problem with the tv remote but otherwise, the room and facilities are well kept and clean generally.

Amazing hospitality, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. As this is in downtown, lot of places to eat. I got an upgrade and an early check in.
