If I could give them 0 stars, I would. We were rushed into a lease for a place that seemed nice and new. When I came to visit in the summer before moving in, I found an anthill in my room. After cleaning said anthill, I found that the baseboard was water-damaged and moldy, and was letting in ants (and possibly other critters). I have e-mailed 3 times to get an update from the company and each time they just say they've "sent someone to check it out." Very descriptive, very helpful, thank you. I still have no idea if I'm going to be living in a moldy room or not, which is great considering I have asthma and mold will only exacerbate this. We were told our 6 bedroom unit would get their own router, but the company told us that the previous tenants stole the router and then the company told us they would replace it. They took almost 3 weeks to "replace" the router, but didn't even replace it, they just gave us the password for the router of the unit above us. As you can imagine, 12 people using the same wifi is very slow. Even if wifi is considered a "luxury item," whatever that means" I and the rest of the tenants really do not appreciate being lied to and manipulated. In addition, the unit is supposed to come with bar stools which have been on "back order" for nearly 3 months. I've heard of things being on back order but not for that long without an update. This company likes to push the blame onto others instead of accepting their faults. They've been rather hostile with us, which we do not appreciate since we are just students who are spending a lot of money to live in a moldy, ant-infested space. 3 words: An Absolute Nightmare. Do not move into any of their properties. I am currently a tenant in one of their units at 84 Russell avenue and there is one major issue I have had to deal with since I moved in September of 2019. The internet connection in my apartment is virtually non-existent. On moving in to the apartments my roommates and I were told by the property manager that the internet connection might be "suboptimal" but I assumed that It wouldn't be so bad, as I have dealt with "suboptimal" internet connection before and was able to get by. For the first 3 months of my tenancy (September - November), the internet connection was absolutely terrible, I couldn't even stream a 5 min video without waiting 10 minutes for the video to fully buffer, but we managed to get along using our mobile data. Around January the wifi router for my unit completely turned off and me and my roommates agreed to buy our own WiFi modem and we did, and upon installation of the modem we found out that our apartment has no Co-axial port which makes it virtually impossible for us to even install our own WiFi modem. We have been in this state for the past 4 months, we've also complained to maintenance a few times and their response was "... WiFi is a luxury Item". As a student at the University of Ottawa I can't stress the importance of an internet connection, especially in these times of social distancing and online examinations. I also believe that for student struggling to pay almost 1000 a month for rent, something as basic as an internet connection should be a non issue. Please if you're reading this I would implore you to not waste your money on any of their properties as I would assume that this is not an isolated incident and you can find much more affordable apartments and property managers that will cater better to the needs of their tenants.
I have lived in one of their properties close to the university for the past year and it was my first time living in my own place away from home. The staff went above and beyond to make sure my friends and I were comfortable and we had zero issues with our place. Our property was really modern and we thoroughly enjoy living here. I highly recommend TC United.
These guys are professional as f. 100% recommended for your next project... if I'm not available ofcourse. :-P No but for real, they are Good.
They showed my friends and me many properties to rent and we are extremely happy with our house. The staff are friendly and have been helpful for the firsr month.
Moving into our new place was incredibly smooth and satisfying. The rooms were cleaned up prior and if there were any issues, our landlord made sure to do a thorough check during the inspection to fix them (no issues). I rent a room with 3 other friends, and we couldn't be more happy with our place. The team was nice and welcoming the entire time and made sure that we feel as comfortable as possible by prioritizing us. Cant wait to spend the next few years here!
Moved in September 1st and the place has been nothing short of excellent. The house was beautiful and move-in ready. The few times we needed to call TC United we received a response within 24 hours. Really helpful and responsive staff.
