So Mom needed to replace her tub and toilet. Her tub was original from 1959 and the toilet was at least 15 years old. Both a lovely colour of Yellow. Mom is older now and could not have baths anymore as her tub was very low and she could not step over and sit in the tub. She would take showers and sit on a chair that was in the tub. I called Richard and we met at Mom's house. He was very quick to get back to me. We also went to his show room and Mom was able to see the tub she was going to buy and even sit inside it!. Richard also provide a choice of tile to be installed. And Mom was very happy with the white subway tile look.... Richard installed the tub and a new white toilet and the tile...and a half plastic/metal curtain. It all looks amazing! Mom can now enter her tub and have a bath. She also use the Hand held shower to wash her hair! She bought the basic tub, with air jets - nothing too fancy. It's perfect for her. She is 95 and she can manage the new tub very well. There were a few things to fix here and there, but Richard came out asap to get them perfected. Mom likes her water very hot, so she did have to upgrade her water tank from 45 to 75. The walk in tubs take a lot of water...and if you want the water to go up as high as possible, with hot water, the water tank might need to be changed. But that wasn't a big issue. Also, when Mom wanted to speak to others about the Tub, Richard provided a few names so she could talk to these people and THAT was very helpful. Richard has been great and very attentive! I highly recommend going with this company!

The decision to go with Walk in Tubs Ottawa over the other two dealers was the best decision we could have made. From choosing the tub and options, through the installation Richard was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and very professional. He installed the tile and even a niche for bath products. After a small glitch, Richard worked literally 24-7 to determine the problem and correct it. I can honestly say having a walk-in tub is like having an in home spa.

I want to share my experience working with Walk In Tubs. We had met with other companies and had terrible experiences. Richard was wonderful. He oversaw everything, was flexible, and even got along with my crazy 90 year old mother. He helped us work with many problems including plumbing, electrical, and a very small space. I got my tub in July. I have mobility issues due to a genetic condition and arthritis so some days I'm in a lot of pain and can barely walk. I am very active so having the warm water and massage jets helps me maintain that. This tub is a game changer for me. I also had a shower pole installed on the wall so i can have a shower. Installation took 2 days and when all was done my bathroom had a beautiful new tub! The installation and clean up was spotless. The after sale and follow-up was also amazing. I had a small issue with one of the drains and I called Richard right away and within a couple days it was fixed no problem. Richard had a nice balance of being professional and personable. We had been shopping around for quite some time as this was a big purchase for us so we wanted to make the right decision . We visited all the local showrooms and were amazed at Walk in Tub Ottawa's showroom that offers so much to choose from . My wife having arthritis in her hands needed something she could use as we found out during our shopping that some tubs are hard to use with the door latches and the faucets as well. These guys have the easiest faucets and door latches to use which is exactly what she needed . The quality of the Ellas tub we bought far supersedes all of the competitors products . Richard had opened up the panel on the door to show us the amazing mechanism for the door latch system, the dual latch pin to lock the door nice and solid , showed us how the doors are actually bolted to the tub shell , the two drains that empties our tub in about a minute . I encourage poeple to take their time and look around before making your final decision . but these guys were great with the installation too and I love the acrylic tub surround and they have also quite the selection ....
