Great place. More friendly than most of the other pubs in town

Local boozer with tv and nice atmosphere. A far cry from the rather 'posh' Kings Arms Hotel of my youth, and now a townie pub with good beer (not much choice) and mega packets of crisps. Just as well because the kitchen is sadly defunct. Charming bar staff.

Very busy, but the staff were very good, exceptional service. We had the carvery for Sunday lunch, great choice of vegetables. We decided that the only problem was that the plates were too small as we wanted more! Desserts were lovely, not a lot of choice of desserts, but enough to have to deliberate for a few moments. Wine menu was good, available by the glass or bottle. Would definitely recommend. Caters for dogs too, even with their own menu!
