One of Oulu's finest pub. Located right in the centre of the city. They have nice collection of locally brewed beers.
Good bang for buck. Mostly Finnish breweries but occasionally Russian, Hungarian etc beers. One of the owners also brews his own products.
Nice place. You have to enter to the Burger King and then go downstairs. There is the place. They have a great variety of local and regional beers.
A nice beer bar with a central location. A great selection of beers, both domestic and foreign, and a brilliant tasting scheme (4*1.5dl for 12e) to get the most out of it. Nice staff, good music and supporting the local rugby club as well.
Great beer cellar. Cool tunes and most importantly craft beer. Beer of different types - interesting variety. Will visit again.
The best craft beer bar in Oulu. Nice little intimate basement location right in the city center of Oulu featuring a rotating list of 15 or so drafts and big bottle selection. Drafts are rotated almost daily so there's always new beers to try and always have beer that Alko and the other bars don't have and occasionally they have their own beers brewed by one of their owners, ain't no one else around here doing that! Variety is great, they always have an excellent mix of stouts and IPA's on draft. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Pricing structure is the best around, where else can you get a 0,4L 10% imperial stout for 8 (7 student prices Sun-Thurs)? Rooster or Leskinen you'd be lucky to to get a 0,3L for 10,60. Also they're the only beer bar around doing beer flights. The back room they have Nintendo, Super Nintendo and Commodore 64 on the TV's. Ask about the Free Nuts.
Really torn on the rating. In a way would be 4 stars for the setting and service. The selection also has variety. What initially brought the rating down was that there were no basic type of beers. What I mean by this that there were no nice lager beer selection. When I go to this type of place, I do not want to have Sandels that was on tap. For example, if you type best lager in the world in Google. I'd like some of those. Alternatively some nice German ones. Not the generic Finnish ones. Many of the beers in the selection at this time would have required a right mood to drink. Not necessarily easy to drink ones in that sense. The selection changes so maybe it was only this visit? I raise my rating to 4 with the hope that next time the selection suits me better.
