You know it's gonna be a solid sandwich when you don't even know where to start. Juicy, tasty & an utter delicious mess, highly recommend their hot lamb burger for a generous portion of protein for a no-frills quality lunch!
I am a food and wine expert. I have been in the best, across the world. Montreal has some great places to offer but the biggest issue in Montreal is service and this new place is no exception. At provisions bar a vin I would rate the service at 0 and the food at 2. The service is cold, unpleasant and borderline disrespectful. We had oysters which were good, the black cod, octopus, Frito misto all were all pretty average. I respect servers for their Jobs and I expect they do the same to me but I do expect them to fulfill their job description in an indiscriminate fashion. It was not the case at provisions. On the Thursday night we went, we interacted with Caroline and Alexandra and unfortunately these interactions were far from being pleasant. I hope the service will be adjusted. Wine and bites for 2 come to over 280 so people are bound to have expectations.
First discovered Provisions as a butcher shop with hands down the best aged steak I’ve ever had...two years later and my father still talks about it! So when they decided to expand and open the Bar à vin, I had an inkling that it might be pretty good. I stand corrected, it was AMAZING! Atmosphere was quite nice and intimate with only 30 or so seats. Food was creative and made with quality ingredients. Staff was good and our waitress very knowledgeable, we gave her a price range and she chose the wine and a great selection is was....last but not least, the playlist that night was on !!!
The butcher shop is the best kept secret place for amazing brisket, burger and sandwiches !
Can't stress enough how great this place is. Incredible food, more than awesome staff, perfect atmosphere... I would be there every day if I could!

The vibe is excellent and the service is great especially the wine list where they serve mostly if not only natural wines. The food is amazing, great little place in the heart of Outremont.
