Innovation in 850aC. Architectural solutions 200 years before Romanic style here in Asturias. Amazing feeling.

Pre-romanic structure later converted into a church. A UNESCO heritage site. Tours are available but mostly in Spanish. There is a reception center with plenty of historical information close to it. You have to look for it and it is worth visiting for the introductory movie and descriptions in English and French besides Spanish. The smallish gift shop has some quality items besides the usual stuff. And there are also bathrooms.
