I have some concern with the medical knowledge of individual(s) making decisions regarding the placement of appointments when the appointment is made on line. There are certain medical conditions that should not be left to wait 2 weeks or even 1 week to address. The on line request should be given the same scrutiny and evaluation as a call in the queue. The review of medical reports ie lab work, imaging takes far longer than necessary. Having worked in a Doctor’s office outside of OSFHT, I know that reports generally reached us the next day and Doctor was able to report to patient immediately if that was necessary. Patients whose condition needed same day appointment were accommodated even if it meant extending our day. The current model of the corporation puts the business model first not the patients.

Very unpleasant call with the receptionist today. Told me I had to give her an answer because she had other people on the phone. We're all stressed but you should still treat people like human beings.
Pre COVID always had excellent service from Family Health Team. During COVID, the same (but different) efficient service has continued. Speaking with the nurse practitioner was as helpful as speaking with the Dr. The system seems efficient, communication is clear and response time excellent. I feel lucky to live in a community where I can access this level of care.
Never had to wait long on the phone. Receptionist was friendly and fit me in to see my family Doctor the very same day.Very pleased. Also, got a very nice nurse practitioner at the after hours clinic. I was able to get through and get an appointment. Have an excellent family Doctor here. They do care about their patients. Don't believe any of the negative reviews at all.
