Considering the fact that this apartment complex is income based it has its pros and cons. There is a long wait list for vacancy but I waited less than a year to move in. The neighbors can be obnoxiously loud throughout the day. There are lots of children that reside in the buildings. The carpeting is thin and kitchen/bathroom areas have fake but attractive looking flooring. The garage entrance is very narrow and made for a small car to enter/exit. The laundry area is attached to the garage and is very tiny (gas dryer only). The apt. complex is right near Kenmore & NFB so it’s a decent area for safety. The rental office people seem to be fairly nice for the most part. Non smoking buildings. Maintenance gets to requests very quickly but thoroughness on fixing issue is lacking.

My Daughter who is a college student and who has a seven month old child had applied to this complex and she went to her interview with all the needed documents met all the requirements except one and was denied an apartment because she has never rented anywhere and the only place she has live was at home. She was told that this was a requirement with HUD however when I spoke with an individual who contacted me about her application I was told that if she never lived anywhere other than with me and this would be her first apartment that there where exceptions that would be made. Well guess not! I think that no one with a child, with good credit and a job should be denied an apartment due to never having an apartment because they still lived at home with their parents while attending college. I will be contacting HUD and I feel that this in a way is a form of discrimination so I will also be contacting housing opportunities made equil and fair housing.

This IS the right street view. Oxford is also a cross street in Amherst. Cuts across Allenhurst & all the way down pass the school & park over there. This view is standing outside their main office looking at the complex across the way. These apartments not only fill Allenhurst for approx 3 blocks ,but also the cross streets that intersect with Allenhurst. I wish people would keep their opinions to themselves unless they are absolutely sure.
