I had a wonderful experience with my father who had Alzheimer's here. I can't thank them enough.

This facility dropped off one of their residents off at a medical practice I work at with no aid which clearly should have been provided given his medical state. Patient suffers from dementia and various other problems leaving him wheelchair handicapped. The facility lacked to provide correct information that the patient needed for his appointment. Called the facility to retrieve this information and they did not even have his basic insurance cards on file there. Would think that at an assisted living facility, they would need to have such information on file. On top of the patient being dropped off with no aid, arrived extremely early for set appointment time, as well as leaving the patient to wait 45 minutes for his transportation to pick him up. They also lacked to send him with information regarding his transportation and how to contact them. I had to call the facility to arrange the ride for pick up and they seemed to have trouble with simply locating this information for me that I would assume is important as an elderly handicapped man is in their care and left alone for a medial appointment. I am very unhappy with the professionalism and lack of actual CARE this facility claims to provide. Getting to know the patient while he was waiting for his ride, a war veteran, deserves to be cared for more properly and actually ASSISTED. Very disappointed.

The facility was family owned and fabulous since the 70’s, but changed to corporate owned in 2016 and while they are making physical improvements to the facility the personal care has greatly declined. Likely due to government funding changes, but still, resident care and life quality should be top priority. Hopefully with continued employee scrutiny and increasing government funding they will thrive again. I ended up moving my loved one to another facility.

My mom went to Riverview for rehabilitation since she was interested in staying at their nursing facility down the road but that will never happen! I am so upset with how this place runs. There's a few nice nurses yes but the care lacks tremendously overall! My mom had fallen 6 out of the 7 nights she was there, once where she had laid on the floor for about 45 minutes. Most of the staff seems like they're so irritated or that it's such a big inconvenience to take care of their patients. The head nurse is extremely rude. She wouldn't inform me of any information about my moms stay. In one week my mom seemed sooo much worse than when she arrived. There were other incidents that I won't post on my mothers behalf for her own privacy but due to the neglet we had, we had my mom transfered to the Mercy Rehab Center (where we know she receives great care and can improve with their therapy and help). The nurse from Mercy was so nice and able to come assess mom the very next morning. The nurse from Mercy stated that she had many concerns about moms stay at Riverview and that Riverview was giving her a difficult time recieving documents and notes. Probably cause they want to try and keep as many patients as possible for money. I tried calling Riverview to talk to my mom and was hung up on 3 times today. We were advised by a medical professional to hotline the facility because of how terrible they were, which they've been hotlined before. I pray that no one else has to have family or loved ones go through what my mom did. Please do your research, ask locals or anyone about a facility before you place someone especially at Riverview! This review is also on Facebook. Upon my facebook review someone from the facility wrote: \I thought she was brought here because she kept falling?\ My mom was there because she had a stroke! These people literally don't know anything about their patients nor are they giving them the proper care they need!

Miscommunications happen to often. Was told that we had to take my pawpaw to the orthopedic hospital for x-rays. Then half a week later they told us we couldn't take him and that they had to take him for safety reasons. The day comes for them to take him, they told us to be there early and we were, so we wait there for 40 minutes before my Granny and I got suspicious because he never showed up. I called the place he was at and they had to give the phone over to 6 different people before they were able to tell us that we were supposed to come get him and take him to the x-ray and that the person driving the bus had already left.
