Is this place for real? When you call them you get that annoying hasty treatment. As if you are a disturbance instead of a valued customer. No, they do not do repairs on heat pumps. Fair enough, but they can't give a reason. They just don't. Really? Doing things for no reason is a strange way to run your business...
Booked in advance for a month........hard to believe. No effort to refer to someone else.......just a we are fully booked.
I was pleased when these guys agreed to put together a three-zone ducted system for our small cottage, but when the installation was done there were problems. The small problem: the screws securing the control panel to the kitchen cupboard were too long and protruded dangerously into the cupboard; the BIG problem: no return pipe was fitted in the roof so the system was left trying to heat up (or cool down) the whole roof, and the birdies outside. The roof unit (a Carrier "medium static pressure ducted" type) was mounted right against one of the roof trusses, so it was impossible to fit the 500mm flexible pipe to the inlet side. Coldfact were slow to sort this out, they eventually came on the wrong day and in the end I chose to complete the installation (including re-engineering the roof truss) myself with materials that they supplied. It should not have been like this; there seemed to be little real interest in sorting out a major SNAFU for a disappointed customer. Timeline: The quotation was received in March 2016; the installation took place in stages during the cottage main build project and was completed at the start of 2017; the system was only finally sorted out in August 2017.
