There are plenty of good dance programs in the community. Take a hard pass on this one. We danced unlimited classes and Company here for four years and then our daughter decided to do another sport. As a courtesy we politely let them know we would be leaving at the end of the season and they were clearly mad we weren’t returning. They proceeded to be so awful to our daughter we couldn’t finish the year (referred to her as “cancerous” to the other dancers). We saw ugliness directed at a number of people over the years and it’s really unacceptable. For example, One dancer resigned her position on company mid-year and they cropped her out of all the pictures immediately (how childish). They even use social media to make passive aggressive comments about students who choose to leave. Just a lot of petty mean behavior that children should never be subjected to. Quite a number of dancers have left in the past couple of years and I suspect more will. Remember ... salt and sugar look the same!

I have been with the Time to Shine family for over 8 years now. My girls love each and everyone of their teachers. Ms. Bootsie and her staff not only teach my girls to do their best on stage but also off stage when the cameras aren’t rolling. I highly recommend Time to Shine to anyone looking for a safe, caring, and encouraging environment.

My daughter is a senior ballerina at this studio. She has taken dance with Miss Christy and Julie over the past 6 years, multiple times a week. We drive from Pensacola to them because the training, discipline, self- respect, respect for others, and love of fine arts the teach and demonstrate is absolutely second to none. My daughter will be dancing with a company at The University of Chicago because of the exceptional training and experience at TTS. Bring your positive attitude and genuine commitment to dance and you will love this studio!

We were ready to sign up for this place for our family, but multiple acquaintances who had dealt with them in the past said their professionalism was sub-par. One account was about the owner of the business. She sat in the front waiting area gossiping negatively about various parents/children doing business with them. Such a lack of civil and professional behavior in a prominent business should give anyone pause. While it appears the business has a reputation for good performers, such immature and lowbrow behavior has dissuaded us from using this business.
