The place is situated in the foothills of panchmari, and it takes approximately 45 minutes to reach panchmari from the cottages. The check-in and check-out was smooth. The staff was helpful. The rooms were clean and the facilities were decent. Our room was a family suite, had 2 beds, seating area, a TV and a cooler. The washroom had all the basics and was clean. The food was also pretty good and we preferred to have our meals there many times. The two gripes that I had though were: 1. The WiFi only works in the reception area. 2. The electricity can be spotty during the day. If you don't care too much for WiFi or electricity during the day then it's definitely worth a look. Not ideal for WFH. Enjoyed my stay here thoroughly and would recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at the cottages thoroughly as a group of girls. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The owner is an interesting guy with good knowledge of the unexplored areas around. The cottages are cozy, comfortable, clean and tucked away from the main city. They grow their own vegetables for their kitchen. Definitely the place to stay in pachmarhi for all age groups.

Pachmarhi is a popular tourist retreat. Tourists visit Pachmarhi throughout the year. There are lots of hotel mostly situated near the market. Only few cottages and resort and mp tourism hotels are situated in the peaceful location of pachmarhi 2 or 3 km away from bus stand. Pachmarhi has a lot of cave paintings in the forests, some of which have been estimated to be as much as 10,000 years old. Shown in the picture is the garden at the base of a tourist attraction called Pandava Caves. The caves are Buddhist in origin but the name persists. The place has rich timber reserves including teak, but being a part of a reserve no new construction or felling of trees is allowed. Having a rich and rare flora as well as fauna, Pachmarhi needs central and state government approval for any new construction outside the town area. Some of the places of tourist interest here are: Rajat Prapat (large waterfall) Bee Fall Bada Mahadev Gupt Mahadev Chauragarh (Shiv devotees come here in huge numbers during Mahashivratri) Dhupgarh (the highest peak of the Satpuras and Madhya Pradesh) Handi Khoh (deep valley) Apsara Falls (fairy pool) Jatashankar (stalagmite-filled cave in a deep ravine) Duchess Fall Pachmarhi Hill (whole view of Pachmarhi City) Pansy Pool Waters Meet Picadilly Circus Patharchatta Crumps Crag Lady Robertson's View Colletin Crag Mount Rosa Handi Khoh Reechgarh Rajendra Giri (beautiful gardens with natural scenery) Bansri Vihar Little Fall Naagdwari Draupadi Kund Twynham Pool Chhota Mahadev Pachmarhi has numerous nature spots, boating at the lake, paragliding, greenery, scenic views, waterfalls, mountain streams and rare wildlife. National Adventure Institute is also situated in Pachmarhi, where various adventure training camps are organized. Bharat Scout & Guides also situated there.

Inner Insight

It was a Different experience while staying at Foothill cottages. Near about 5 acre of open nad well planned and constructed space. Very good for kids .Ros are spacious and clean .Good for both family and individual's.Staff and owner is very polite and friendly. Foothill is at Singhnama matkuli .23 kms before panchmarhi, but a good option to stay in open space.. Food is very tasty.and they serve in room as well as in open space ...Govindji the caretaker,Helped us a lot in every situation.they also guide us about nearby places. Awesome experience.must stay for a soothing and peaceful experience,away from city.will visit again.

The place is amazing.Its very beautiful and peaceful.Also food is really nice but the staff is quite rude and there are too many restrictions in the resort. Also staff are not cooperative when it comes to little request like arranging chair for seating. I was suffering with lower back issue but they denied my request for a chair. Also it was too cold when we visited there was no arrangements of bonfire which we got to know was paid..but when we asked them to lit it near our room they completly denied it and ask us to go to a much open area for bonfire which was freezing like crazy..No wifi is there as mentioned. You can visit this place as it is Situated in a beautiful location but don't expect the staff to be cooperative and cordial. The only reason I gave them 3 star is for the location and food else the hospitality is really poor.

I wanted to admire the place and cleanliness alot, the place us really good. But i have one complain the food is not so good. They don't allow outside food. The restaurant nearby us close to 6 km minimum. Also the resort location is quite much far.My sister has motion sickness while traveling she suffered alot for this 20km distance while do nd fro from resort to pachmarhi. I went with family ,my mom wants tea asap when she is done brushing.But they don't provide tea before 8 and breakfast before 9. I think if u hv budget concern and are ok with travelling alot and can eat outside than go for it
