Fabulous service from Gabbi and brilliant teaching from Joe. We bumped into Joe on our walk back from the beach and made a great connection. The next day we booked in for a yoga session followed by a surf lesson. The two compliment each other very well, and even though it was very early in the morning (for a few of our party), Joes calming presence managed to get us all ready and prepared for the waves ahead. We had a real mixture of abilities in our group, and Joe managed to handle all of us very well. Pushing the more advanced of us out beyond the break whilst helping push the beginners on to there first waves. Everyone loved the session and we booked in for 3 more, its safe to say we have certainly caught the surfing bug. Thank you Joe, Gabbi and the MFD Surf School. Josh

Wow. Great waves and a great instructor. My son and I booked 121 lessons. On the original day lack of waves meant it would be a poor lesson. Marcio explained the situation and then kind enough to let us move move the slot to a day later in the week when wind and tides changed. The waves were huge and my 8 year old loved it. He got constant shoot and coaching from Marcio. We both have the bug now. We will be back next year!
I loved my MFD lessons with Joe this July when i was down in Trevose. Joe was a brilliant teacher who was attentive to each member of the group and their standard. He gave us great tips for surfing and also gave us interesting facts to help us stay safe and calm. I gained so much more confidence in the water and on the board in his lessons and will definatly be back for more next year Thank you!
Joe was a super instructor. Not only did Joe teach us how to effectively stand on the board he also took the time to teach us about surfing more holistically: how to read the waves, the best place to enter the water and how to identify rips. Joe was very helpful and informative and the surf school is very well organised by Gaby. We also hired boards from MFD in addition to the lessons which was very useful. Big thank you!
Marcio has been teaching my daughter who is a Channel Swimmer surfing since July 2017 and last summer and this summer he has really made a great difference. Additionally and incredibly he was able and willing to surf with Raph to help her cold water solo channel swim training last December surfing with her during Christmas including Christmas Day. This Summer he has helped additionally with her surfing and channel swim training completing swims from Treyarnon to Trevose Headland and back to Constantine Bay on several occasions - thank you Marcio and Gabby and little Nälā! Don’t choose any other surf school Marcio is the ‘Artisan Surf’ instructor if you want to ride waves instead of float. He also has a surfboard buggy so you won’t be struggling carrying your board on your vacation for miles either.
