Wish I could rate this place a Zero. They're not worthy of a 1 star. Giving this place a 1 star rating indicates that at some point their level of care was satisfactory. The level of care my grandmother received was not satisfactory. My grandmother had a hip replacement and was sent to Parkview. She was there 2 weeks for rehabilitation and was released a couple days ago. My mom went to pick her up and bring her home and saw that the incision was leaking...so much fluid that it was puddling on the floor. We took her to the ER and was told that it was infected. It ultimately resulted in her surgeon having to redo the surgery and taking out the infection and replacing the old hardware with new hardware. My grandmother is now flagged for Sepsis and has not made it out anesthesia. Had the nurses there looked after it and did their job, my grandmother would be at home with family instead of in the hospital AGAIN. This all after the CNA's left my grandmother sitting in a soiled diaper for an hour and a half. This is after she pressed her HELP button to call for assistance. My grandmother WILL NOT BE BACK THERE.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. They were responsible for the death of my mother. She had a bowel impaction so large she couldn't pass urine. She was taken to the hospital where she passed three days later. She was so dehydrated they had a horrible time getting an IV in a vein. She was septic. After part of the impaction was removed and the were finally able to get a catheter in, over a 1000 cc of thick brown blood tinged urine was drained from her bladder. All that could be done was give her morphine to keep her from feeling the air hunger. Worst 3 days of my life. I still have nightmares.

Currently dealing with my father returning to an ICU thanks to Parkview's staff allowing him to be severely hydrated and on the verge of fatal kidney failure. They said they weren't more adamant with him because of course they \can't force\ these things on their patients, however a basic understanding of his condition (Stroke from angioplasty complications) would lead even a layman to deduce that he cannot do such basic things as drink on his own. My mother went for hours on one visit without seeing even his nurse's aid. Parkview could have been more attentive with my father and simply chose not to be.

My 96 year old dad was recently discharged back to home from 3 weeks of rehab at Parkview. My sisters and I spent hours there daily with dad, and can attest personally that the physical therapy and nursing staff working with him were exceptionally qualified, kind and respectful. It is not the most modern building in the world, and the meals may not have been extraordinary, but the commitment and caring shown to my dad made it the perfect place for him to regain his strength and mobility..
