A full-service community center that's handicap accessible throughout and perfectly capable of handling any event or gathering; large or small, public or private for a nominal fee. Come by and see the fine folks at the W. C. Young Center for that next event or gathering in your life!

A community based center that annually sponsors events that enlighten and educate. A great community-wide heritage celebration of African American freedom from Slavery. Recieving the word of the Emancipation Proclamation supposedly on August 8th of that year. An annual event was held on and around that day since. Many families planned and still do hold their reunions during this time. Many events are held over a number of days. A Parade at the opening! An annual gathering and Picnic, Youth and adult activities A youth street dance, A host of planned activities for the many people who come home annually! And an annual breakfast at it conclusion. Hosted on by such a great group of team oriented and selfless group of volunteers and supporters who do all possible to insure a great time is enjoyed by all in attendance!

Needs updating, badly. Needs a complete remodel and overhaul. It's hard to reach someone when you want to rent as well.
