Mike was nice but forgot a coat and a helmet for me!! I was the only on on the tour so I just went down the mountain by myself. The bike was old but had good brakes and handle bars that sat up so you weren’t leaning down so far. The seat was nice and wide. I also had to get off an walk it up one hill because it doesn’t have gears and no tension to peddle. I didn’t read the reviews before I booked it but over all if you just want a bike to ride down the mountain he can provide. Park does not allow bike companies inside for sunrise.

Bill was an awesome informative guide but bikes weren't well maintained, as per others who did the group tour and had a flat tire. I highly suggest doing the self guided and be aware you are NOT inside the national park summit for sunrise with this package. East to miss at 4am also when driving but cell number was answered on info 1st try
I have been to Maui a few times I find it better to book directly with the company rather than with an agent.
Went in 1998..... want to go back so bad! It was a memorable experience!
We went on the mid day tour with the guides that were born and raised in Hawaii. It was an awesome experience down the mountain with a stop in a old cowboy town for lunch. The views were very pretty and the ride was fun! The guides were knowledgeable about the history of the area. I recommend using this company!
I would recommend this adventure to anyone. Our tour guide Kevin was fantastic so many wonderful stories and knowledge of the area. He made me and my sister's feel like family I will always cherish the memories made going up and down the valcono. Thank you so much!
No doubt a beautiful trip. My son and I made the best of it. Our first trip to Maui together, we get early (2AM) together, experience the sunrise together, but have to ride down the mountain separately. They split us into 2 vans just after watching the sunrise. My son was in the first van. So, they had already departed by the time we made it back down to the trailers. Turns out, my son asked to switch groups so we can ride together, the guide refused. I laughed at the guide when he told me to come take a photo with the bikes just above the switchbacks. I said "Not Without my Son". Choose your rides carefully if you cherish being with your family. Maui Mountain Cruisers certainly didn't care. If you are curious, our booking agent worked really hard to get 1/4 of our money back. I appreciated the effort by Paul @ Boss Frogs.
NOT A SUNRISE TOUR!!! Wish I could give negative stars. They drop you off about halfway to the top on the west side of the mountain so you will see no part of the sunrise. The rickety bikes were NOT SAFE. Squeaky warped wheels and iffy brakes. My back end got loose a couple times going not very fast. The “breakfast” was granola bars in a bowl and use of a keurig coffee maker in a shack that I was only shown when I asked about it. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! What a rip off...
