Our tour guide was very personable and knowledgeable about the culture of the island. Because of their expertise, the self-guided tour ran impeccably. Maui Sunriders Bike Co provides all the gear; a helmet, windbreaker pants, backpack, and a bike lock. The bike journey down Haleakala is thrilling and the best part. Get ready for a downhill adventure you'll never forget!

Took the Maui surf riders tour today with Richard as our guide! The whole team is wonderful. We had our flight today in the afternoon and didn’t know if we had time for anything but this ride was perfect to start at 9AM and still finish with time left for our flight. The views are wonderful and the staff is SO sweet. Very helpful overall and provide you with backpacks, waterproof pants and jackets etc. a lot of great fruit stands and donut stands along the way! Highly recommended and the price is unbeatable!
We took the trip with Maui Sun Riders last week, and loved it. The experience (the ride and the customer service) are incredible. The owners and team work hard to give you a positive experience and take care of what you need. We road up the mountain with Remi who kept us engaged the whole time. This is a must-do that my wife and I will definitely do again. As long as you are comfortable on a bike this is a great trip for you, and nearly any again (we did this as a family trip with ages ranging from 65 to 20) and we all had a blast.
My husband and I had a wonderful time on part of our honeymoon with the Maui Sunriders Bike Co. Absolutely everything was provided for the Haleakala bike ride. Every staff member we interacted with was fun, friendly, and very knowledgeable. The morning we went was cold and drizzly for the first half of the ride then the sun started to break through. But that just made it more memorable and more of an adventure for us. This was my second time doing the downhill ride, and if I did it a third I would definitely book with this company again.
My husband and I did a self guided day tour down Haleakala last week. Johnny was our guide and was super knowledgeable in showing us all the best stops on the way up. All the gear was clean and in good shape. BEAUTIFUL views from the start all the way back to the ocean. Awesome activity, would highly recommend!
The crew here were awesome. They fitted us with gear and bikes for an amazing ride down from Haleakala. The bikes were sturdy and safe and made the trip very enjoyable. I was terrified but was reassured if I could ride a bike and was fit, I could make this ride. The gloves and jackets really helped keep us warm but were light weight and comfortable. They also provide backpacks and locks so you can stop and spend extra time off bike on your trip down. I highly recommend this bike ride from this group. Remi who drove us up the mountain was knowledgeable and entertaining. Don’t forget to tip your driver, if you enjoy him let him know. This was a lifetime experience for a Grandma who is fit but not athletic. This is a must do ride! So cool, so fun, great memories.
We had an amazing time biking down Haleakala in Maui. Parker was our driver and he was so fun and knowledgeable. The owners were great to work with. This is the best way to do this bike tour, at your own pace. Will definitely come back!
Rented a Scott disc brake road bike to ride from the peak of Haleakala back to Paia. My experience was great and the staff was more than helpful with any and all questions and even showed me the best routes. The bike was in new condition without a speck of dirt on it with no issues whatsoever. I won’t go anywhere else on my next trip to Maui. I called many other bike shops prior to finding them and none of the others were willing to accommodate my adventure. Thanks guys!
