I have been a member of this club now for five years ,this is one of the most friendliest clubs that I have belonged two, I left the club for a year to join another but allthough that club was very welcoming,I felt I needed to come back to Paignton Torbay. I have read a few damming reports about the committee, I can tell you they are a very hard working group bearing in mind they are unpaid, they have to put up with a lot of stick. As for the dispute with a certain member of this club the committee has bent over backwards to end this amicably but this member does not want to let it go. If you want to bowl at a very friendly club come and join us you will not find bird mess on our seat cushions our toilets are clean and our members are very welcoming. Mike Charlton

Well Mr Varley I find your blog very sad reading about Paignton Torbay Bowling club, considering you have only been actuality playing at this club for 2 seasons , and in that short time you seem to be an expert on the committee members , Well sending a hand writing letter too one committee member , which was offence and upsetting for me to read, and you are telling us the clubs disrespectful . I think you should look closer to home. Nobody could have been kinder and so caring than this bowling club when I was ill. Pete and I shall always be great full to all the players , And I would say to anybody thinking of joining are club, no matter which club you join you,ll always get a few bad apples but thats all part of life .
