Booked a double room with sea view, not really worth the extra cost (avoid room 60 see picture 1). Breakfast was excellent as was the staff. Very dated decor but that didn't affect the atmosphere. Outstanding location for watching the tide come in crashing over the terrace, very spectacular.

My partner and I popped in to the Redcliff hotel for cream tea yesterday and we were overjoyed with what we got. The scones and jam were superb. One of the best we have ever had. Thick and creamy proper plain scones with generous serving of pure Devon cream and jam. This was served in amazing views overlooking the sea. The waiter was lovely and the hotel looked welcoming. Looking forward to going back again before the end of our fantastic stay in Paignton.

We stayed at this hotel 4 nights, breakfast was ok on the first 2 days and got better after the weekend. The indoor swimming pool only open at weekend and we had it to ourselves. The room was very good. They worked very hard to keep to the covid19 rules and still be friendly and helpful. The bath towels were very small and that is the only reason they did not get 5 stars.

Been for Sunday lunch, three courses, plus tea or coffee, 19, per head, which in this current climate/conditions, good value for money. Choice of about four starters, four mains and about four deserts. I had the fried brie for starters, nut roast for main & sponge and custard for desert. Couldn't fault the food, or the staff, who were pleasant, polite and presentable. Well worth a visit x

We have just returned from a four day stay and we had on the whole a very good visit there are just a few things I wound like to point out The manager of the restaurant was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble but his visor was filthy and he should keep it clean When we got to our room we found a bag of food behind the television I took it to the manager and said that I was worried that the room had not been cleaned properly he said he would talk to housekeeping but I never heard anything else about the problem I feel that they should have at least tried to put our fears to rest The social distancing was excellent I would recommend anyone to stay apart from the above it was very good
