We love Barshaw! It's got a little something for everyone. From the big playpark with equipment for all ages, to the outside gym equipment, the pond, the cycle tracks and the hill (perfect for sledging), Barshaw ticks all the boxes. It isn't the biggest park but it is ideal for the kids.

Nice park to walk the dog round or feed the ducks & swans or take the kids to the play areas and there's a gym area too. A decent restaurant with takeaway window. Plenty of parking. No lights at night.

Peter Hall

A wonderful legacy from the pre-first war epoch when British imperial power and influence was at its apex. This is hugely popular with all of the amenities one would expect: A boating pond popular with wildfowl and model yacht enthusiasts, entertainment for young children and an outdoor gym for keeping fit, grassy areas for games and picnics, and paved walks for gentler exercise. There is a fine view from the top of the hill. Unfortunately the small zoo and model railway have been closed for many years. It is very well maintained.

I like Barshaw, pond full of Swans excellent park suitable for a range of ages. Nice cafe and plenty of parking inside the park itself. I see it used to have a small zoo and a small train in the past but its still well worth a visit

Nice park. Shame since lockdown everyone thinks its fine to congregate there. It is VERY busy at times
