I have already given my review about this temple. The structure of the sreekovil reveals this temple is the oldest of the siva temples atleast in Meenachil Talum.

This temple was called by the devotees as well as the public "Chembottayambalam because the roof of the sreekovil was with copper coverings since centuries back, landed properties of the temple encroached, neither Devaswom board nor devotees took effective steps for the development of this good old sannidhanam for many decades. Renovation of the temple took place in the 2nd half of 20th centuary. This temple darsanam is very effective for appeasement.
