A hidden historcial site, looks like it is taken care of very well. Looks great!
What an amazing piece of history untouched and protected by the local council. It is surrounded by houses so not the easiest spot to find on your tourist map!
Really interesting Roman ruins in the heart of Bordeaux.
Really good monument. The archeological remains on this Roman arena are well worth a visit. On the one hand, I was slightly underwhelmed when I saw it at first. I had gotten a slightly different impression of what it was from what I had read about it - and by this I mean that much less of the original building remained than I had expected. But that is what happens, unfortunately. there are two main viewing points and they have a good amount of information. They even have a map where they show how big the arena used to big - impressive
A bit sad because of its condition, but it give the idea of how it was so great and majestic
Anything this old has to be awesome, right?
A small remnant of the Roman City that was once here. When I went there was a small market adjacent to the ruins. A nice short visit if you have the time.
