A temple deep inside the Kalpathi village known for powerful Devi. The goddess is Kamakshi amman having families of generations paying obeisance to the goddess. The goddess is also fondly known as Karukodi Kamakshi. Karukodi means the one who saves billions of fetuses in mothers' wombs. The temple is very small with other vigrahas (Idols) kept in the mandapam just after the sanctum sanctorum. The temple needs to be renovated as roofs have become old and fragile. But due to lack of patronage from nearby villages and also people who are connected to this temple for generations are not able to make it happen. But now things are rolling towards early kumbabishekam or consecration. Goddess Kamakshi showers her blessings on the villagers and also families who have been devoted to her over generations.
