The Muslim Educational Society (MES) , a non –political socio-educational-cultural organization, registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI, was established in the year 1964 under the charismatic and dynamic leadership of late Dr. P.K Abdul Ghafoor. Today MES is managing about 200 institutions including Medical College, Dental College, Engineering Colleges, Arts and Science Colleges, B.Ed colleges, Womens Colleges CBSE and State Syllabus, Schools, Higher Secondary Schools ,Hospitals, Orphanages, Special Schools, ITI's,etc. MES aims at rendering higher standards of educational facilities to all the students irrespective of caste, creed or religion etc. The society has registered its presence not only in Kerala but also in other Indian states and in countries like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, UAE, Kuwait etc . MES enjoys the patronage of people from all quarters as a politically neutral body and extends its service to all.
