The famous Jain temple of Palakkad situated in Jainamedu, near olavakkode, Palakkad. The actual temple is this and the jain temple search result in map isn't the actual location. The temple is renovated in 2013 and the interior stone works are new in the time of renovation. But some of the art works are still ancient pieces. This 15th century temple's main deity is Chandraprabha tirthangar along with other 4 deities including Yakshinis. Pooja starts everyday from 5:30AM till 11:30AM and evening 5:30PM to 7:30PM. The Well in the compound itself is of 2000 years old. Palakkad was once home to a community of 400 Jain families, but only a few families remain today. This historic 32 feet long, 20 feet wide granite temple is the first and only remain of jains in Palakkad area is built on huge rocks of granite. The main deity is made up of pure white Marble.
