A beautiful remote island, far from human interventions... A perfect place to blend yourself with nature. If u r fortunate enough, wildlife can be spotted. Best time to visit : Jun to Dec. Request to tourists: The lakes water is so pure that we drank it and used for cooking. So, avoid soaps/cosmetics / use 100% natural products and help preserve sanctity.....

Quiet place to spend time away from the rush. No mobile signal except BSNL. Solar powered (power may ran out) no fan or AC Cottage can accommodate 5 people. 4 guards will accompany you to island. Its 1 hour boat journey from main land , Guards will row the boat.You need yo buy groceries to prepare food guards will cook it for you. If you wish yo see animals visit in April -May. Will be hot though. Island is green and cold in December no much luck with animal sporting. .

Far from the madding crowd. If you love nature go for it. Wildlife, Paddle Boat ride for 1 hr to reach the island from Parambikulam and many more.Only 5 persons can stay at a time. Around Rs.10 k for booking and entry fees (2019 rates). Carry your essentials for cooking for 9 persons - atta, rice, bread, biscuit ....as you wish. 4 staff will accompany as guide , cook, boat paddlers, security. Solar powered lights available. No electric fans and not required. Rodents of all sizes moving around in the ceiling and occasional arrival of elephants for bamboo shoot will keep you awake. If you intend to do mischief, no chance, better forget it. Wish you happy stay.

Roving through the reservoir and staying at Vettikunnu island is awesome feel. Informative friendly forest watchers accompany you, for roving, cooking food etc. You have to arrange raw food items at your own expense. Anyhow, the stay at the property is really worthy. No one else is there to disturb you. If you are natural lover, never miss the place. Booking available through online.

This was one of my unforgettable night stay during 2016 roadtrip, We have stayed two days there and explored the island and surrounding place including one undiscovered falls. Nice place for those who love the nature and wildlife

Remote island in Parambikulam Reservoir. It will take one hour boating to reach the island. Which is the best part of the package. You can spot wild animals on the banks of the reservoir. We have spotted Elephants Bisons Deers and also one alligator joined us near our boat. You can go for a guided trekking inside the island after reaching there, and experience the scenic beauty. Stay at island nest is ok. As there is no electricity they use solar power to light the bulbs. One power plug in also available. No fan or AC available. We need to buy food stuffs as they will prepare food for us. Overall it’s a good experience.
