Its a cheap ski location and on weekdays extremely uncrowded. Not many of the ski lifts were open and im not sure why as it didn't feel unsafe and the ones that were went to the same altitude. There is also no snowpark at the moment, I think having one would make what are pretty easy runs more challenging.

The week of 11-15 Jan 2021 wasn't the best weather for skiing at Palandoken. There was not enough snow and only the major tracks were open. The cable car was closed most of the time. It was cloudy with occasional rain/ snow. Friday there was enough snow, the sky cleared up and the cable car was running again ... only for a few hours. It was so windy that the powdery snow got blown up and u couldn't see more than 10 m ahead. After the snow was blown away some frozen icy patches on the tracks were exposed. The chair lift at the top was closed around 4pm. During the pandemic, the ski tracks are open Mon-Fri and closed at weekend. Ticket: 80 lira until 5pm 100 lira until 8pm One previous reviewer mentioned he couldn't get a refund when the ski tracks closed early. It's written on the big sign at the ticket office that they do not give refund. If you are with the nice staff she would tell you if they are planning to close early. Temperature drops quite a bit after the sun goes down. The tracks can be quite crowded especially in the afternoon. Ski Shop "Winter" 60 lira rent ski 50 lira costume Public bus from the main city bus station (near the train station) The bus schedule on the Ejder website was mostly correct. To go back there are buses at 5pm, 6pm and then last one around 8pm. The first day the bus driver at the station just merrily waved me in when I signalled to him that I don't have the card for bus. My hotel manager said buses would accept cash apparently he is not a frequent bus user. There should be an issuing office in town but I have no idea where that is to this day. There are other foreigners skiing (I heard Russian quite often) and almost none of them take public transportation. The Palandoken bus can be unmarked and u would need to ask the driver where the bus is going. The bus to Konakli ski station does not exist. Other public buses ( e.g. bus G5 stopped about 30 mins walk to the station) do not go to the ski station.

Maybe it's just about luck. Few things spoiled my impression about Palandoken. 1.All day skipass (day and night) was bought but afternoon slopes were closed due to slopes deteriorated. Management refused to refund night skiing skipass! 2. I made longer hotel booking because I was told that ski centre and slopes will be not affected by covid-19 weekend curfew. Unfortunately saturday morning we discovered that slopes are closed even for hotel's guests. So don't plan to ski on New Year curfew days.

Palandöken is famous for its long-running tracks which allows you to carve in full speed. It also provides mountain slopes with powder snow for doing mountain ski.

Perfect long skiing slopes, well looked after trails, starting from 3700m peak with a breathtaking beautiful view. Prices are good. Food and drinks are better in the town, there are some unnecessary loud music at the base. Otherwise it is very impressive!

The highest cafe "Kure" in Turkey. Fantastic view for 50-60km! 5 glasses of tea and desert - 5euros.
