Excellent! Yeah, only one word, but a lot of emotions! #helloworld
Omg! It's was beyond awesome! Best service in the city, amazing cuisine, perfect location. Greatest selection of wines!
Fine dinning. You can feel the Russian nostalgia. Pricey but worthy. Reserve to get better seats.
Fine dining restaurant with excellent service for the country's standards. Grand, romantic ambience. Had the 2018 Palkin Set Gourmet menu. It was very well presented. One of the crab legs tasted slightly off, the other one was perfect. Enjoyed the mushroom soup the most. Introduced to a sturgeon which looked slightly shocking on the dinner table, but it was nicely smoked and tasty. Dessert was entertaining as they used liquid nitrogen to freeze the cream before our eyes. Tasted very pure as well. It was a good experience. #localguides
Palkin is an old school fine dining restaurant. It was recommended by our guide as a good place to get an authentic Russian meal of high quality. We arrived without a reservation and were seated after promising to be done before 8:30 which presumably was when all the tables were reserved. The service was excellent. We ordered two hot starters which we shared and beef stroganoff as an entree for each of us. We were given complimentary salmon mousse, bread and rolls, pallet cleansing sorbet between courses and a plate of sweets with our coffee at the end of our meal - none of which we expected. All of the food was delicious. A very satisfying experience and highly recommended.
Dining in Palkin is an experience worth having. Suprerior service. They offered the choice of bread with home-made butter and salmon with potato puree as starters. I ordered a grilled trout which was outstanding.
One of our most memorable dining experiences in St. Petersburg. The quality of the food and service rivaled many michelin starred restaurants. We had the chef's gourmet classic tasting menu (8100 rub pp, though you can also order a la carte) which came with caviar, scallop, Kamchatka crab meat, sturgeon as the main and a sorbet prepared from scratch with liquid nitrogen tableside. We only discovered during the meal while conversing with the wait staff (fluent English) that the restaurant had been in business since 1785 and counted Tsaikovsky, Dostoyevsky and others among people who had dined there. Some restaurants boast of their history or wonderfully ornate interiors or showy molecular gastronomic creations but fail on the quality and tastiness of the food. Not here. We were delighted on all counts.
