The staff was kind, friendly and very helpful. The office was clean and inviting. The doctor's assistants was nice, helpful. Dr. Mathews was super attentive and explained my condition and treatment options thoroughly. My visit was stress free. I would recommend Palmer Eye Center to all my friends and relatives.

A crooked business looking to take your money. I have no desire to return. Dr. Matthews is ignorant. I would never trust someone like her to examine my eye. She should be more concerned about her business, maintaining clientele not ridiculing patients about their weight.

I was absolutely impressed with Dr. Matthews and the staff there at Palmer Eye Care! Everyone was very professional and friendly. They made me feel safe and I trust them. I highly recommend Palmer Eye Care. The place is immaculate including the bathrooms! I travel an hour to visit their office. I’ve been recommending my family and friends to visit Palmer Eye Care. Best place for eye care!

So in the past it has always been a long wait. They over book which keeps patients stacked up like cattle. It was quite the shock that little has changed during the pandemic. You might think that they have a conscience but it turns out they do not. It was the same volume as usual. Sure they removed chairs from the waiting area, but they moved you back and forth to the waiting area in between procedures. No sterilization occurred at any time. Even the form that most places have you fill out was done poorly. No sterilization or control of any pandemic protocol. My husband is high risk and every other medical appointment has been safely conducted so it is a big disappointment. I even requested for us to wait in an empty room. We were denied by the office manager. I stared at the two empty rooms while patients were left waiting in unsafe environment. I wonder if they actually believe in the pandemic or they are just going through the motions. The staff seemed visibly frazzled and were humbly apologetic for the inability of the office manager to accommodate at risk patients. This office only cares about money. we have worked really hard to keep him safe and I feel his safely was jeopardized by their inability to create a safe experience in their office. Needless to say they wont care that we are not coming back because they have plenty of money from all of the other over 65 seniors who come to this office risking contamination for the sham of quality healthcare.

Be sure to review the training/education of these doctors compared to another clinic in town. My husband had routine cataract surgery and they put the wrong lens in the first time and the second time the doctor was so nervous (because of her first mistake), she was shaking. The second lens is no better than the first. Now he's gone to another eye care center and he has so much scar tissue from two botched cataract surgeries that there's nothing that can be done. Cataract surgery can go wrong. It's not routine. He has to wear a contact lens now for the rest of his life.
