The trail head is not clearly marked. You’ll have to look for a white arrow spray painted on the road across from a little bridge. Once on trail it’s about a half mile in. As you walk up the trail you will start to see big rock formations on your right, Stay left of these as you go. You’ll know you’re close once you start hearing the falls. There is no cell phone service and GPS is it’s sketchy at best so download any maps you may need before you head out.

Google maps info is accurate to the trailhead. Just pull off side of road in tiny gravel area. Get there early and download google map for offline use It’s a short hike but solidly moderate. Starting in it’s a clear trail but all uphill. Final descent is sketchy...careful with foot placement. To get under falls and to best photo spots you’ll have to do a little bouldering. Totally doable for most able bodied people. Beautiful place. Great hike. One of my faves in the state.
Good little hike enjoyed the scenery and lack of graffiti or trash , follow the tied ribbons and it will end at the falls loved the rocks and clime down .
No signboards anywhere. What we think is a trailhead has poor access with very high gradient. I doubt if a sedan can manage that with its low clearance. No signs of the trail anywhere. We wasted 15-20 precious minutes finding more before visiting nearby Haw Creek Falls which is fun place to be.
Beautiful little hike! The trailhead isn't marked super clearly, so finding it can be a bit of a challenge, depending on how thick the foliage is. The beginning of the hike is pretty moderate, but it does get pretty challenging once you get close to the grotto. Lots of large rocks and boulders to maneuver to actually get to the waterfall/overhang. But the cliffsides on the 1 mile hike to get there are stunning! I can't wait to go back during a time where the water is flowing a bit better, I imagine early spring is the best time of year to visit.
