The quality of the place has reduced since my last visit. The following need improvement. 1. Swimming pool - Poor quality of water. Eyes are burning. Not cleaned. Particles floating. The person who is in charge of the pool is also a bit rude. 2. Food- Eventhough the buffet has some variety. Not impressed with the taste.

The hotel is huge. From the rooms to restaurant it is like almost a 1km. The pool is large. Can accommodate around 100 ppl. There are two baby pools. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The washrooms are super clean and tidy. The lobby is also very big and confy sofas are being arranged for people to spend time. The best buffet is the Saturday night one. They have a BBQ. Rest of the nights very general buffets. All three breakfast, lunch and dinner require much variety. Sometimes for starters there is only salads and no other interesting things to eat. I would recommend shooters are the best to try. They are very tasty. The refilling is super slow compared to how fast the food is finishing. Sometimes the same option will not be there. So it is unfair for the second batch of people who comes for the buffet. There are around 400 rooms and the restaurant can’t accommodate much crowd. There is a restaurant lady who literally doesn’t know what she is doing at the entrance of the restaurant. Her name is Amali. She is supposed to mark all the guests who are coming from the hotel rooms for the buffet. But she never stays properly near the entrance and yet going here and there and then coming behind us to mark the room number as if we just barging to the restaurant without paying and asking that very loud. It is super irritating when she constantly do that. Further, she has no idea how to manage the crowd and tables and asking us to stay outside until the first batch of people are done with their buffets. Half of my family is inside and I’m outside. If she is managing one table to the room of guests how come she keeps half of the same room outside. She needs much training because many customers were irritated with her. The head chef was very nice and friendly. He was attentive to the customers.
Highly recommended. Perfect place for a relaxing get away around Colombo. Delicious buffets with a wide variation. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean & nice rooms and love the relaxing atmosphere....
One of the best hotels for relaxing. It's bordering the Beach. Staff is very friendly and welcome guests. There is enough Parking Space. Coffee Shop and Bar is very good and quick service. Reasonable Prices.
Experience was better than expected because of Covid. Hotel has tried there max to give a better experience for their guests with budget charges. Hotel is trying maximum to maintain the health guidelines, really appreciate it
My experience at Jie Jie beach is a mixed one. Starting off with the good. We got a suite for a very reasonable price (an offer) and it was large and spacious and very clean, well maintained and over all good. The food we had at the restaurant for the most part was quite good. The pool was quite relaxing, the staff very friendly and accommodating. There was ample parking for many vehicles. The general atmosphere was pleasant and the stay was enjoyable. Onto the bad things i noticed. We had a 2 hour delay in our check in, due to a lack of bed linen. The bathrooms lacked toothpaste, the towels were placed in a bag under the sink, which i found to be odd. There was no hot water in the shower, but there was in the sink. The food presentation needs to be better, half the time the serving utensils were mismatched with the type of food and even the size of the containers were quite small and food was even over flowing in some instances. I didn't see strictly followed covid safety measure. There definitely were measures, but not strictly followed. The restaurant ambiance was really ruined by the choice of music and the sound of the crowd. I think being a subsidiary of the JetWing brand, i expected more from Jie Jie. I'm sure they will improve. But I'm sharing my personal experience. I definitely recommend them to anyone who can afford to stay here, but these things i mentioned are some of the short comings i personally came across
Not well maintained. Appearance looks like abounded building. With COVID pandemic and all their business dropped and similarly quality of service dropped. Low budget and convenient to reach from Panadura Town.
Due to covid may be the hotel has not maintained properly. Hope things will improve after this pandemic.
