It may look like your average neighborhood takeaway restaurant but Deep South is anything but that! Located conveniently Opposite Panjim Gymkhana, this place is generating the right buzz for all the right reasons. It was started by two friends Karan and Naman in October 2020 with the idea to bring South Indian cuisine to all food goers of Goa. They aim to provide the best takeaway experience while enjoying a meal in the comfort of one's own home. As soon as you arrive, you notice that this place though being small is actually undeniably cute and quaint. They serve specifically Tamil and Malayali cuisine with a TWIST! They have rolls, sandwiches, sliders, and meal combos with options for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. To make things easier for me to choose from their menu, I was given a sample taste which helped me a lot. I had the following: 1) Yam and Coconut Varuval: Let me tell you this sandwich was so light. It was perfectly cooked with rich coconut curry and stewed yam which was packed with so much flavor. I feel this is perfect for a quick bite on the go, especially during the summer season. 2) Thokku Egg Fry: This roll was my FAVORITE! It includes boiled and fried eggs in tomato, onion and a couple of other spices that really elevated the flavor of the dish. 3) Chettinadu Chicken: For all the chicken lovers out there, this is for you! Chettinadu Chicken will delight your taste buds for sure! This roll has tender cubes of chicken cooked in Chettinandu pepper spice. The seasoning coupled with the perfectly cooked chicken will have you wanting more of it. Overall had a pleasant experience out here. The cozy vibe along with the unique South Indian food experience, pocket-friendly prices, and most importantly with COVID-19 precautions being followed makes this place really amazing! Also available on Swiggy for orders. I highly recommend everyone to visit Deep South when in Goa.

The amazing thing about this place is it brings the unique and somewhat alien south indian cuisine in the form of familiar snacks like rolls and sandwiches. From what I had here, the chicken chettinadu was my favourite followed by the pepper paneer Chettinad , sweetpotato and mushroom thokku and finally the coconut and yam varuval. Clearly I'm a big fan of spicy-hot-peppery things. The thokku is tangy while the varuval is on the sweeter side in contrast to the other flavours. One needs to try the flavours to know what you really like. The raw banana and pea slider is not something you'll easily see elsewhere, and it's a must try. The deep south fries could become your go to food once you taste them. We had the lemon iced tea and the ginger lemonade in beverages. Both were great but I found the latter quite salty. But again, the beverages are made in-house and each bottle could taste a bit different. I'll definitely recommend trying out this place for the different unique flavours they offer and I'm sure you'll find match for your tastebuds.

Passed by this place several times and wondered why the rush? I realised only after I tasted their food. Can’t express how happy I am that a place like Deep South, serving South Indian cuisine with such an exceptional taste is here in Goa (I am a fan of South Indian food). There is nothing that I did not like over here. Being a very selective foodie, I would still say everything was just perfect. The highlights were the Kerala Beef Roll, Thokku Egg Sandwich, Hakka, Chicken Chettinad Slider and their very own refreshing Ginger Ale. This place is however, mainly for takeaway and very limited seating as of now, but that doesn’t really matter because their food is the boss! Also, all COVID-19 precautions followed.

Deep South is a new outlet at Campal, Opposite Panjim Gymkhana. This place serves treats with a South Indian twist! The base of all their dishes is either yam, paneer, chicken or egg. I was given a sample taste of all these bases & they tasted very delicious. I was told that the masalas are specially made at home. They served me 2 of their special malabar parotha rolls, one of chicken chettinaad and the other of paneer. The first bite of the chicken parotha gave me a flavour of egg followed by crispy sauted onions and then their yummy Chettinaad chicken filling. This parotha roll gives you a perfect South Indian feel and you will definitely keep going back for more! The price of the parotha rolls is about 175/- The paneer parotha roll had perfectly cooked soft paneer with onions which added a kind of sweetness to it. I would also like to mention that the malabar paratha is soft and yummy & goes well with the South Indian tadka filling. Next I tried their vermicelli rice noodles and I've never tried vermicelli noodles with curry leaves in it! This dish was slightly on the spicier side , I love spicy so it's a thumbs up from me! The noodles also had red chillies in it and not to forget the South Indian tadka For Drinks I tried ginger lemonade, it was refreshing with the ting of ginger and the lemon. The other drink was the iced tea. Served chilled. 70/- This place also serves rice meal combos where in you can choose your side dishes and the type of rice you want. They aren't available on swiggy/zomato as of now but they do delivery in and around Panjim. I would recommend you all to try their Chicken malabar rolls

Amazing place for a quick bite with a unique menu! Do try the beef roll and the pork/chicken akka noodles! Sliders are an absolute snack too if you're craving a quick meal!

Deep South India is a takeaway place located in Panjim for rolls, sandwiches, sliders and combos indulging South Indian flavours. I along with my friends tried their rolls (chicken, yam), sliders(raw banana, yam, sweet potato), & paneer sandwich along with ice tea. My favourite was rolls and raw banana slider. If you haven’t tried it out, you surely must!

Had a quick stop at Deep south some days back. A small outlet that opened after the initial lockdown last year and is located opposite Campal ground just next to the KO shop. They serve a fusion of Malayali & Tamil food with a South Indian tadka to it. And with the owner being a south indian himself, the tadka has certainly hit the nail! A very interesting menu available in vegetarian & non vegetarian both ... with sliders, wraps, toasties (mini sandwich) and also combo meals. Upon your arrival, they give you samples of the stuffings for tasting. We had chicken chettinad, pepper paneer & yam to choose from. I tried the Raw banana and green pea, Sweet potato & Yam sliders. Crunchy patty enclosed inside the mini buns. You dont get such healthy options of sliders everywhere so do give it a try especially the Raw banana & green pea slider. Also the Chettinad Pepper paneer & chettinad chicken rolls are so fulfilling with generous stuffing of tender chicken/ paneer tossed in chettinad spices & wrapped in parathas. The chicken chettinad in addition also has a layer of egg to it. Also I loved the Deep south fries! Fries with a hint of pepper paired along with a uniquely seasoned mayo dip which leaves you wanting more. Oh and not to forget the curry leaves on top for the south indian feel! They also have 2 flavours of drinks and both are house made. Ginger lemonade & Lemon iced tea. Very refreshing & I personally loved the ginger lemonade as it went well with the rest of the meal.

The Syrian Roast Beef Parotta Roll was really awesome. Even the pulled pork was really good. Liked the spice level too. Even veg items were good too. Really a good place to all the food lovers to try.
