Unique museum to visit. It is a single storeyed museum located in the old customs building. It is now famously called as the blue building. They have different sections neatly laid out dedicated for different parts of indirect taxes. Each section has information kiosks (both in English and Hindi), mannequins & art effects. The history of indirect tax system, including contribution from Chanakya, Akbar, Portuguese & British people is well explained. Beautiful paintings showing the old customs port of India, separate section for finance ministers, Dandi March take the viewers to a different Era. They have also kept video documentaries running at different corners. There is no section for GST as on 31/10/2019. Probably they will add it soon. All in all a must visit for commerce student.

Fascinating and eye-opening place. It gives an insight into the ingenious ways people used to smuggle in items. The museum is housed in a heritage building with beautiful shiny floors, and the whole place is kept very well. An absolute must-visit.
