Went there early by around 12 15pm to beat the crowd... luckily we had empty tables.. and the food was extraordinary. The staff were polite and suggested the right kind of food for us. One of the best places to eat in Goa for sea food. The serradura and other desserts were just okay.

Amazing and authentic Goan food. Cute little place in the heart of Panjim. Attentive staff, great ambiance and good vibes. Definitely recommend it.
Very much hyped, not worth. Simple aged old restaurant with huge queue. Vintage restaurant of Goa. Solkadhi was as good as it gets. Other dishes we ordered were just normal like everywhere else. Not worth the wait, rush and over anticipation.
Had heard so much about Kokni Canteen for all these years from friends and family that I had to try it out! The place is heavily crowded on the weekends as well as throughout the week so much so that it is difficult to even get a table until their closing time. I went on a Sunday at about 12 to guarantee a place for myself and indeed got one. Luckily, the place wasn't crowded at that time. Tried their famous Bappa's special thali which has a variety of all sorts of authentic Goan dishes with a substantial quantity. The quantity is very good. The thali is quite difficult to finish unless you're a pretty heavy eater. The thali had everything needed in a perfect Goan fish thali..sungtache ani bangdyache hooman (prawns and mackerel curry), tallalo viswon ani sungta (fried kingfish and prawns), tisryanche bhazun tonak, kullyanche tikhat tonak, Goan chicken xaguti, solanche tiwal (Kadi),salad, bhaaji, pickle and a sweet dish (kheer). All in all, a wonderful Goan meal!! Loved it and would definitely visit again the first chance I get. Also also also, I cannot forget to mention about their ambience. The place is wonderfully decorated keeping the Goan style and taste in mind with a hint of Portuguese style. Then place gives a very subtle yet classy vibe yet feels homely.
-Food not too great when compared to the cost -Lots of vinegar added in every dish -Ambiance is very good -You will find a lot of tourists at this place -Located near Mahalaxmi temple -Nearby places include Abharan -A/C room available -If you are visiting then visit around 12pm in the afternoon or else you will not get place to sit -Overall food average -Most common item ordered as per observation is King Fish Thali -Owners and employees are not bothered whether you liked the food or not bcz they get the customers in the name of tourists who have no clue what they are eating , all they want to do is come to a authentic hotel with old goan vibes and click photos ..they don’t know how the real thalis taste. -It’s a good hotel to visit once and not return again
Awesome place, crab was star of the show. After Ritz its my second favourote in goa.. but for crab - i will definitely prefer kokni Kanteen. Its hidden gem and i look forward to visit again.
It's nice hotel to eat food and other hospitality. They have beautiful vintage pictures of goa hung on walls. It was good experience so far in panjim restaurants
Amazing experience of dining here. The ambience is beautiful and the food is delicious
