Faltu restraunt......we were here in group of 50.... there was only 2-3 waiters....for serving ........worst tasting food...... ....i dont recomend for group lunch or dinner....

This place is solace to the solo wanderers. After roaming and walking in summers heat this is the only place near Old Goa with AC restaurant. None other this near the famous Church has an AC in the restaurants. Here we can get some chilled beer and fish Thali (this is what I ordered). The King Fish Thali was cheap (just 180rs). They don't serve Roti with Thali. So people from North India might find it weird. We can of course order extra Roti. This place is under the flyover so riders going from highway might miss this place as the nearest U-turn is far away. This restaurant is near to Karmali railway station. Just a 20 min walk. Overall a good place for lunch.

Visited this place today for lunch and tried out the Veg. Thali & the chicken biryani. It was excellent. Couldn't help but come back again for dinner & was surprised to have romali roti on the menu and they were perfect. We had it along with the Afgani Chicken and that is what we would definitely come back sometime again for. Suggestion: Since it's called SolKadi it would have been nice if at the end of a meal a shot glass of solkadi could be served complimentary to guest. :)

Food taste is good. Decor of the restaurant is good. Service can be good. But something is missing in your special thali. Priced at 180 the quantity as well as number of items in your thali are seriously missing. There was no salad. The size of katori is which Evey item is served is considerably small. Even the quantity of fried fish served was less compared to any other brand. Agreed this is is a high end fine dine, but isntead if putting odd 180 price add some more items increase quantity and make it of 250. A special thali is supped to make the consumer feel that, there is something different than regular thali which we get everywhere. This thali missed some basics forget making it special. Another major point which might get you into trouble some day is the fact that water was not served to us till end assuming we will use the bottle. But I clearly mentioned to give us normal water. Which was not served, but the water was charged. ( Later bill was reduced). Kindly focus on these points as yours is the first fine dine in old Goa area. Best of luck.
