Disappointed. Went there for the first time the day before they shutdown for the winter season last year and loved the owner and what we ordered was great! We went there again yesterday and ordered the same thing as last year, but a large fries turned out to only be a side order on my husband's plate and we also decided to try their fried pickles, 5.49.... Unbelievably disappointing!! 14 pickle slices for that much?!! We both couldn't believe how terrible the portions were and we paid 22.10 for it. I know kids were working the kitchen but the owner was there too. When we got home and opened our takeout bag, the pickles were disappointing especially at their price.
There food is really good the workers are very nice and they have picnic tables so you can eat there
We went to Papa Rick’s last night for dinner. I have had their fish sandwich twice before and it was fine. Last night however, the sandwich was a huge stack of lettuce with a tiny fried tail section no thicker than a half dollar. I should have taken a picture of it, but I thought Papa Rick’s would take care of it. If it were my snack shack, I would have been embarrassed to serve that to a customer and charge them 6.00. Anyway, the man behind the counter made it seem like we were being unreasonable and begrudgingly offered to find us a “bigger” piece of fish. We were so insulted by this experience, we left. We will never go to Papa Rick’s for anything ever again.
Yummy sundaes and live music on the lawn. What could be better?
