Key attraction in Bijapur, still counted among biggest single structure in the world. Building is a large cube of 47.5m topped by one central huge dome measuring 44m. It has 4 minars which are attached to main building. Typical route is, you buy tickets, walk to the structure, deposit your shoes, climb the stairs from one minar, go around the gallery, climb down from another minar, take a round of the main hall and come out, without forgetting to take back the shoes. There is a museum inside (optional). The biggest issue we faced was guides and touts heckling who push you to book full day tour by paying advance. Biggest issue Entry fee: Rs 15 Timings: 10:00 to 17:00 Ample parking space Time need: 1 to 2 hours It takes efforts to climb 7 floors of staircase but it pays to reach the gallery. You can hear the slightest of whisper across the gallery. Most of the visitors use Indian whisper which measures 140 decibels and you actually can't hear the whispers unless you pay something to guards who will "request" the rouges to go out of the gallery. Alternatively, reaching early will result in lesser people fighting for space.
