The management and staff goes above and beyond always there to help with anything you may need. The condos are extremely clean and have everything you need for a short or long stay. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting parksville.

Fun family place. Close to beach with own access. Pool is small but they are taking off expanding it. Hot tub too. Tennis courts, basketball hoop, bbqs, playground, lots of stuff to do.

Nice rental units, well equipped with nice kitchen equipment and well set up furniture. Very functional units, felt like being at home. Comfy beds, tvs in each main room, nice fireplace, sliding patio doors to all the main rooms and sky light in the kitchen. Lots of space. A bit of a walk with luggage from the parking spaces to the unit. Very clean. A bit of a downhill walk down some ramps to the beach access (easy enough for our young family though), but it was a nice sandy beach. Nice playground, tennis/basketball court and pool area. We stayed in unit #30 and would be happy to stay again, it was perfect for our 4 person family.

We so enjoyed our 2 month stay here. So peaceful with easy access to the ocean beach and the Rathtrevor Provincial Park. Suites are complete with fireplace, laundry in suite and all that you need to make your stay enjoyable. The friendly staff are always ready to help with any thing and to give a friendly hello in passing. Great new pool, hot tub and childrens playground. Birds, rabbits and deer can be seen here too.

Gorgeous location, just a 2 minute walk from the beach. Bunnies and sandbars for miles - we couldn't get enough! The staff were friendly and accommodating with our extra requests, the 3bdrm unit was very clean and well-provisioned, and our party of 4 adults and 4 kids had an excellent time. Gave only 4 stars, as we checked in, excited to use the hottub, only to be informed that it was out of commission for repairs. I wish we'd been told in advance, as the kids were really looking forward to playing in the water.

***Update July 2020*** Everything is lovely as usual, here at Ocean Trails Resort! The pool has been closed for renovations, but it looks like it may be ready for opening soon! ︎ Our favourite place in Parksville, this is an older resort but perfect for families and quiet get-a-ways. With a heated outdoor pool and hot-tub, private beach access, tennis/pickle ball & basketball court and communal party/barbeque area there is no lack of things to do and all sports equipment is supplied at the office. The spacious condos and duplexes are nestled under established cedar trees and the grounds are well looked after. Spacious 1, 2, and 3 bedroom suites include full kitchens and laundry facilities which are perfect for an extended stay. This year we spent the Victoria Day long weekend at Ocean Trails, sharing a condo with friends. Between the beach, the resort activities and a few area attractions both families had a fantastic, relaxing weekend. Can't recommend it enough.
