I used Independence Van Lines to help me move (2/2021). The account number is #4333212. When the actual movers showed up it was Moving Express & Storage at 9pm and started moving my boxes(2/11/2021). At 11pm they were finishing up and pulled out 4 additional contracts and said that it was going to be an additional 1000 approximated. Contract number #12386185. I tried to reach independence van lines but they close at 7pm. It was either forfeit my 796.20 deposit to Independence Van Lines or try to fight with the companies later. I made edits to the new contracts, recorded the entire process, and signed them stating I would not pay the new amount. I called Independence Van Lines to get this resolved but they told me they would not assist(2/21/2021). We intend to get an attorney involved to resolve the breach of contract. Breaches Include: -Loading Before New Estimate -Additional Fuel Charges -Binder Fee -Additional Unmeasured Weight

**BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY** I did not even hire this company, Jacob and Sons (another FRAUDULENT/THIEVING/MORAL-LESS COMPANY) hired them unbeknownst to me. I recently became victim to Jacob and Sons’/Express & Storage Inc's (has changed names 2x since I moved two weeks ago) scam. If you care about your belongings, time and faith in the decency of others, please, take my experience as evidence and use another moving company. On moving day, an aggressive man named Saul came to my apartment (without a mask) and demanded an additional 1,000. I refused to pay the additional money but Saul agreed to move my belongings anyway. The entire move he treated my belongings like trash and broke several items. When I asked for my items to be treated with more care, Saul cursed at me and threatened to “throw my belongings on the side of the road and cancel the move all together.” After the distressing moving experience, Saul handed me paperwork with “Express and Storage, Inc.” letterhead. After questioning the letterhead, Saul said he was hired by Jacob and Sons. I called Jacob and Sons yet again, still with no answer. I had signed a contract with Jacob and Sons, NOT Express and Storage, Inc. After several days, Jacob and Sons admitted that my belongings were in Express and Storage’s warehouse in New Jersey. Jacob and Sons LIED about having a facility in New Jersey and I wanted to retrieve my belongings immediately. I drove to NJ to pick up my belongings. The Express & Storage warehouse was FILTHY, and would likely not pass any form of quality control inspection (photos attached). I have items that are missing/stolen. There was water damage to my couch; my dresser, bedframe, cabinet, heirloom dresser and bench were broken, holes in boxes (photos attached). Since I have not yet opened all of the boxes rescued from the warehouse, I am still not able to determine the extent of all of the damage.

I echo what everyone else said: do not use. They get 2 stars instead of one because the driver who delivered my stuff was really nice. But the rest of the experience was a disaster: they came a day early for pick up, demanded I pay 75% up front (my contract was for 50%, and then the supervisor demanded 80%, forgetting that the driver had already asked for 75%), etc. But at least I got 45 for the two boxes they lost... haha.

BROKERS, SCAMMERS, THIEVES! These people are scammers. I did not even sign a contract with them, I signed a contract with Cross Country Movers and they are also scammers. I payed in full now these people that came out of nowhere are charging 800 on top of what I had already payed Cross Country. I asked to speak to the manager and I’ve been waiting on a phone call for over 3 days. Either I pay the 800 or they auction all my stuff! The audacity of these scammers! If I can rate them a 0 it would be a 000!
