July 2018. Beautiful place that is little known and has been recently cleaned up (kind of; people still dump garbage at the bottom) by private citizens. Thus, it isn’t crowded, and chances are that you’d find yourself exploring this place with no one else around. I really hope that the Indian Archeological Society doesn’t get their hands on it, otherwise all we would have is a washed out board that says something about protected monument status and a structure that rots at an accelerated pace under their destructive hands. No one really knows the history of this magnificent historical place. Worth visiting.

Visited Feb 2020. On my first trip to Patan I did not even know this vav existed. Side effect of this vav being close to the more glamorous Rani Ni Vav :-) . This is a really nice, simple (and I mean that in the best possible way) vav. No crowds. Clean. You can walk to the lowest level and to the back of the vav. Definitely worth a visit. See attached pics.
This is kinda mini rani ki vav(queen's step well). You can get a idea that how rani ki vav would have been built as a person can get all the way down to step well which is not allowed at rani ki vav ( queen's step well)
Nice one of historical place
