This is toddy bàr has a long history. One of the oldest toddy bar in surrounding area. As in all toddy bars in Kerala state, food items are also served here. In local language toddy bars are called 'kallu shap' കള്ളുഷാപ്പ്\u200c. The name derive from the country side drink, toddy which is cultivated from coconut tree which has a good amount of alcahol content in it when it become one or two days old. This type of shops are allowed to run on licence basis by government control only.
