Nicely constructed and a good architectural design for a college Open Air Theatre with facilities for movie showcase and grand events like annual Singing, Dancing shows with seating facility for a crowd gathering of over 3000 people. A good surrounding environment full of trees and a ground, also with a fully developed market beneath.
It's an OAT built inside Thapar University impress meant for the students of Thapar University for their own requirements in order to host various fests. In Thapar University there are various societies that host various events and sometimes these are held in OAT. The open air theatre is quite a large place and can hold an audience of more than 4000 people.
The open air theatre gives a full justice to the concept of open air performances, the audio can be a problem if you are sing microphones but overall the stage is good, backstage is well equipped and there is plenty of space for the audience. The place is owned by Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology and is located within campus. Unfortunately, the place is not for access by outside people and is only limited to students and teachers of TIET (Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology )
It consists of local market situated inside Thapar University. Considerably, a cool place to hangout with friends in the evening. Also, you'll find few shops for good food.
Its a good place to enjoy your leisure time in total silence. The structure is basically an open air theater also known as OAT, but is very nice to hangout even at times of no show.
Very big and spacious curved theatre. Best view comes in morning and evening as it is adjoining lush green playing field.Below there is university market and in the back activity rooms for practice.
