All India Institute of Medical Sciences Patna (AIIMS Patna), previously Jaya Prakash Narayan All India Institute of Medical Sciences (JPNAIIMS),[2] is a medical college and medical research public institute located in Phulwari Sharif, Patna, Bihar, India. It started operating on 25 September 2012 after a series of observations by Patna High Court.[3] The Institute operates autonomously under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Its foundation was laid by Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, on 3 January 2004, during his tenure as vice-president.[2] As of 2015, it was still under construction.

At first I thought this place to be nice and staffs as gentle but when I visited my thoughts changed completely. It is not that Aiims i wanted to see. Huge line for everything whether it is for registration or for consulting a doctor then for billing and again at the blood test or different types of test department. I found only long lines. If you are visiting here for the purpose of a quick visit then you are wrong. It will take your whole day (most of the time in lines). If the doctor has consulted you then you next visit will be on Wednesday not any other day. I thought the charges for tests would be low but it is similar to market rate also the medicine that the doctor has prescribed was costly. No service for patients standing in the line is very tiring. Sometime it feels like a normal person can be converted into a patient merely by standing in the long lines. Very bad experience.
