I called Paulk Outdoors for sod installation apparently they are also the Grounds Guys. I initially called them on 8/3/18 to get someone to come by to measure and give an estimate. The sale manager we worked with was Ben Benford. It took numerous call from us to the office with no communication and no words from Ben. He made false promises to give estimate but failed each time. I had to call the office and complained that's when he finally sent us an email with an outrageous estimate. So it took 5 business days for Ben to finally give us an estimate and only after I complained to the office. So he finally gave an outrageous estimate of 10,000 I had 4 other contractors who gave me a quote between 3,000-5,000. What? 10,000? did he measure correctly? Ridiculous!!! This company is unreliable and no customer service whatsoever. I still haven't received a called back from the office manager or the owner of the company.

Hired this company to fix a drainage problem I had as well as to design and landscape my backyard, all of this was done under their other name of the Grounds Guys. My main contact person, Ben Benford was unreliable, didn’t return calls, and managed a poor job. The only time Ben initiated a call to me was to deliver the quote and request final payment. A job that should have taken two weeks, took six. To be fair, it rained a lot during this time so they weren’t able to work a lot of the days but there were plenty good days where no one showed up after I was told they would be working. My fence stayed dismantled for three weeks and when it was put back up there were spaces in between the boards. My backyard still floods causing the sod that I paid for to not grow. I’ve had another company since come in to correct all of the issues, which is unfortunate considering my initial job was far from cheap.
