Pedana is the place to go to see Kalamkari saree work and get to know about it. It is close to Machlipatnam. There is an artisan's house which they have converted into a Kalamkari museum. With so much fake and other duplicate work going around, the family decided to put up a collection where they could talk about organic and original colours and the processes involved. You must look for it and visit the place if you are around. I also bought some kalamkari stuff.
